Puppy training isn’t just about teaching your dog to sit, stay, or come. It’s about teaching them how to live successfully in your world.
The biggest mistake I see? People wait until the puppy develops a problem before they start creating structure.
Start early with:
✅ Clear rules & boundaries
✅ Consistent routines
✅ Proper socialization
✅ Exercise & mental stimulation
✅ Teaching foundational commands
✅ Rewarding the behaviors you want
✅ Addressing unwanted behaviors before they become habits
And remember—socialization doesn’t mean letting your puppy run up to every dog or person. It means teaching your puppy how to remain calm and confident around different people, dogs, places, sounds, and environments.
Your puppy is learning every day, whether you’re intentionally teaching them or not.
The goal isn’t just a dog that knows commands.
The goal is a dog that understands how to behave.
The time and structure you put in now can save you from bigger behavior problems later. 🐕🦺
